[and maybe the maximum] imo. The display ranging from 24 to 27 is considered best for gaming as this size helps the eye focus the complete screen easily. 1080p would be quite low for a 32 inch screen if you were only sitting a couple feet away, and would likely look a bit blurry from such a short distance.

A 27 Or 32 Inch Monitor Will Probably Be Fine, Either One.

As a recommendation since you aren't a big gamer or anything i recommend the asus proart 27 inch 1440p one (they have 2 versions one with usb c for display in and one without get whichever you want). 1440 for 27 to 32 at most though for 32 inches or more ideally 4k. 32 is better for working, movies, more chill or strategy games (like civilization, anno 1800, wargame, total war.) however 27 is faaar better for fps and all very fast games.

The Aspect Ratio Is 16:9.

27 inch should be the bare minimum for 1440p imo. A size greater than 27 inches is not recommended for gaming as for such a big display, you will have to move your head towards right and left, which will result in a poor gaming experience. Buy asap, price will shoot back up to $320 in no time.

Since Most 1440P Monitors Are Made Around Th Is Size Normally.

If you are stuck on win 7 i would not go to 4k but 4k could drive a win 7 user to their senses. Many users find 1440p perfect. It has terrific colour reproduction out of the box and if you do game it is 75hz which is a nice bump over 60.

It's Available In Both 27 And 32 Inches, And Although We Tested The 32 Inch Model, The 27 Inch Version Should Perform The Same.

Its a bit annoying to see text suddenly change sizes. If you have the desk space for it and don't mind having to move your eyes around a lot, then a 32 might not be terrible. [and maybe the maximum] imo.

I Have A 32 1440P (Aoc Q3277Pqu) And A 27 1440P (Lg 27Gl850).

So i'm finally moving upto 1440p from gaming at 1080p for the last god knows how many years. 1080p would be quite low for a 32 inch screen if you were only sitting a couple feet away, and would likely look a bit blurry from such a short distance. I find 27 inch for a single monitor setup huge.
